A preventive plan
One job that comes round: on which machines, how often, what is checked, where each machine stands and what was done before.
Tips
- Where it stands has one line per machine: when it was last done, when it is next due (On time, Due soon, Due now or Late) and the work order the plan made.
- The plan makes each work order by itself, the days before it is due that the plan says. Make it now makes one at once.
- Next date counts from the day it was done (a late job pushes the next one back) or the planned date (it does not: for inspections that must happen so many times a year).
- Changing the checklist makes a new version. Work orders already made keep the checklist they were made with.
- A check can be measured: tick Measured and give its unit and lowest and highest values (e.g. bar, 30 and 40). On the job, the value is written down and checked against them.
- Also by a meter, whichever comes first: e.g. every 12 months or 500 h of Running hours. Each machine on the plan gets the meter; Where it stands shows its reading against the next due reading (“1,300 of 1,500 h”), and the due date comes from the meter’s pace over the last 90 days when that is sooner.
- On time in 12 months: of the jobs due in the last year, the share done within the days the plan allows. Cancelled and late ones count as missed.
- When you put a machine on a plan, give the date it was last done, so its first date is right. Left empty, its first job is due at once.
- The link above the title goes back to the page you came from, by its name, with the two places before it. Opened from a link or a new tab, it goes to the list.
